How long until they offer only a limited number of spots to the “non-eligible” children for elementary school, middle school, even high school??? Someone please tell me WHY my son’s options for pre-k are little to none because we are too english-speaking, too rich, too present in his life, and not military enough for public schools and too poor for private schools????? WHY would he get better dental care on Medicaid than he does on our paid insurance???
I benefited from just about every government assistance program there is and i fully believe that they are necessary and can change people’s lives. My mom, ean’s mom, Ean, and I have worked HARD to give ourselves and most importantly Bitta a better life. But it seems that those efforts were both too good and not good enough.
It just seems kind of backwards is all. Work hard, but don’t work too hard or else we won’t let you in our school. Work hard, but dont work too hard, UNLESS you plan on working hard enough to be able to afford $500/mo + registration fees + supply fees + lunches + volunteer hours (you mean during the only time I have with my son when i am off work???) + ticket sales (or a donation if you can’t sell ten $25 tickets to a carnival). What a slap in the face. I worked too hard and not hard enough (and here I was thinking that doing my very best would benefit my family in some way).
We’re living paycheck to paycheck paying $88 a week for daycare! And I haven’t even started paying on my student loans again yet (dreading October). Dont even get me started on that (again too rich for income based plans and too poor to afford normal $250+ monthly payments).
Work hard, but not too hard.
All of our fabric button jewelry is made from thrifted fabric scraps - oftentimes prints and patterns that you won’t be able to find again! Occasionally there is enough to make 2-3 pairs of earrings, but after that the style is gone. What this means to you is that you can be sure that the jewelry you’re wearing is as unique and beautiful as you are! 😘
